I was wrong about that new click-lock vinyl from that big box store
Everyone in my crew said the stuff from FloorMax was junk and would fail in a year. I put it in my own kitchen six months ago to test it, and it's held up better than some of the pricier brands I've used. The locking system is solid, and it's taken spills from my kids without a single issue. Has anyone else actually given it a fair shot on a real job?

My brother-in-law swore up and down that store-brand engine oil would ruin my car. Used it for three years now with zero problems, saved a ton of money. Sometimes the loudest voices in the room just repeat what they heard somewhere else. Makes you wonder how many decent products get a bad rap before anyone even tries them properly.

How many times have we all been burned by trusting the crew's groupthink?

Oh man, I was totally that person. I used to buy the most expensive name-brand everything because that's what everyone said you had to do. Then my car guy, who's been fixing cars for like 30 years, told me to just check the specs on the bottle. If it meets the standard, it's fine. Blew my mind. Saved so much money since then just by actually reading the label instead of listening to the noise.
