Tried using that new 'fast set' adhesive on a glue-down LVP job in a condo last month. The stuff skinned over in under 10 minutes and I had to pull up half the floor. What's your go-to for time-sensitive glue jobs now?

Saw a couple guys on a jobsite last week swearing by the new Mapei rapid set. They said it grabs way faster and has less slump than the old formula. Makes sense they'd improve it, @the_wyatt, the old stuff could be a bit finicky in the heat. I'm planning to pick up a bag for my next bathroom floor to see for myself.

Man, that fast set stuff sounds like a nightmare. I had a similar thing happen with some rapid set mortar on a small tile job once, it went from perfect to brick hard while I was still spreading it. Now I just stick with the regular stuff and work in smaller sections, even if it takes longer. The stress of racing against the clock isn't worth it for me.
