PSA: Watch out for those 'bulk rose' deals from new suppliers

I ordered 200 stems of red roses from a company I found on a social media ad last month, thinking I was saving about $80 on my Valentine's Day stock. They arrived two days late, already half wilted with brown edges on most petals. I had to throw out nearly 150 stems, which cost me over $300 and a ton of stress trying to find replacements. Has anyone else gotten burned by a new vendor recently and found a good backup source?

But what if the shipping reviews are fake too? I've seen companies buy good reviews right before big holidays...

Maybe check if they're just reselling old stock from a real farm's bad batch.

Read a florist blog that said to test small orders first, which makes sense after hearing @seth_singh20's luck.

Honestly had the opposite experience last season (which was a huge relief). Tried a new farm that popped up in my feed and their bulk roses showed up crisp and a day early. Sometimes you just get lucky with these ads, I guess. Maybe it's less about new versus old and more about checking those shipping reviews right before a big holiday.
