Visited the new hotel lobby on 5th Street and their flower display was a real letdown

I was at the Grand Plaza downtown yesterday and the arrangement by their front desk looked like it was put together in a hurry. The lilies were all closed tight, the greens were wilted, and they had these cheap plastic ferns mixed in. It made the whole place feel a bit sad. Has anyone else seen a big business skimp on flowers like that?

Honestly, what's the point of a fancy lobby if the flowers look like they came from a clearance sale? Tbh, plastic ferns are the hotel's way of saying they gave up before they even started. Ngl, I'd rather see a single nice plant than a whole sad bunch of dead stuff and fake leaves. It just makes the whole place feel cheap.

Actually, plastic plants can look pretty good now. The cheap ones are just the easiest to spot.

Yeah, the_troy is right about it feeling cheap. I read an article last week about how hotels use flowers to set a mood, and when they get it wrong it actually hurts their image. They said a bad display makes people wonder what else they're cutting corners on, like the towels or the cleaning. It's a small detail that sends a big message. Why spend all that money on marble floors just to ruin it with sad flowers?
