Yeah, I used to agree with that until last year.

Remember that study from the University of Michigan in 2023 about how people change their minds? It showed most big shifts happen after a personal event, not just new info. So when @lopez.emery says "until last year," it makes me wonder what specific thing they lived through. Maybe it was seeing a policy fail up close or having a friend's life get worse because of an old belief. Real life has a way of making theories feel very different.
