I spent $2,500 on a graphic design course to chase a dream I gave up on after six months.

Come on, that's just giving up too easy! You could've pushed through and made it work.

Honestly though, sometimes pushing through just means wasting more time and money on a bad fit. The real win is knowing when to quit and put that energy somewhere else. It's not always about being tough, it's about being smart with your life. Letting go of one thing can free you up for something that actually clicks.

Wait, are you saying I should've stuck with that breadmaking class where I spent $30 on a starter and then forgot to feed it for two weeks? Because that turned into a science experiment real quick. I think @joel_jones nailed it with the "knowing when to quit" thing, I barely saved my kitchen from a moldy disaster. Sometimes pushing through just means you end up with a brick you can't even use as a doorstop, and that's a hard lesson I learned with actual dough.

That's a serious chunk of change to drop on a dream. I get how a passion can fade once you see the daily grind of it. It's okay to walk away from something that isn't working for you.
