I used to play open mic nights every Thursday at a coffee shop called Grounded in Omaha.

One night I completely blanked on the words to my own song halfway through, just stood there silent for what felt like forever before walking off stage. I sold my guitar a few months later and haven't really played since. Does that kind of small, bad moment ever just stop a whole dream for you?

That one bad moment can haunt you for years.

My buddy had a similar thing happen with his stand-up set.

Totally get that... blanked on a poem at a reading once and never went back. That one stupid night just killed it for me.

Remember how Mason said it haunts you? It's like that one bad memory gets stuck on repeat and drowns out all the good gigs. Makes you wonder why we let a single minute wreck something we loved for years, right?
