PSA: Giving up on cheap punties saved my sanity and my work.

Switching to quality tools made everything less frustrating.

So you're saying the good stuff works better?

Man, that reminds me of this garbage hobby knife I had. The blade would snap if you looked at it funny, and the handle was all slippery. Was trying to trim a model part and the whole thing just twisted in my hand, ruined the piece. Upgraded to a decent one and it's like night and day, the control is totally different. Just not fighting the tool anymore, you know?

I bought a five-dollar punty kit online last year. The rod bent if I breathed on it (no joke), and the joint always failed. Switched to a basic but solid one from a real glass supply shop. Suddenly, I wasn't fighting to keep pieces together, and my breaks went way down. It's exactly like rayl54 said with the knife, where the tool just gets out of the way. Cheap tools cost you more in ruined work, full stop.

Sounds like you paid for that punty kit twice, Nathan.
