PSA: My mockup finally clicked after weeks of tweaking.
Honestly, it felt great to see it come together. Any tips on where to find more layout ideas like this?

Ever just save a bunch of slick Dribbble shots for layout inspo? I did that for ages. But after seeing @victor_robinson's comment, I switched to studying live sites like Amazon or even a good blog. You notice stuff, like how they always put the "add to cart" button right in your face, not just where it looks cool. It's way more about solving a real user's problem than just making a pretty picture. Totally changed how I look at design now.

Actually, calling it "finally clicking" might set you up for trouble later. That feeling means you're getting used to your own design, not that it's necessarily good. You stop seeing the flaws. What I do is steal ideas from live sites, not other mockups. Use a browser extension to take screenshots of layouts you like in the wild, then pick apart why they work. A real site has to function, so the layout solves actual problems.

Totally... @victor_robinson's tip about live sites is gold. It's like you're learning from solved problems instead of just pretty pictures.

Grab a screenshot of a live site and trace over it in your design tool. Helps you see the spacing and hierarchy they actually use, not just what you think looks good.
