PSA: How I solved a gritty trigger pull on a common revolver
Guys keep oiling it, but that just hides the problem. I tore down the action and found a burr on the sear from factory machining. A few passes with a fine stone smoothed it out perfectly. Now it breaks clean every time, no fancy parts needed.

Ever think about using a ceramic stone instead of a fine one for a small part like that? Sometimes they're easier to control on those tiny surfaces.

I used a ceramic stone on a 3mm bolt head just yesterday. The extra grip let me sharpen it without slipping, which was a huge help. Good call, @the_thomas, ceramic is way better for tiny jobs like that.

Actually, my buddy had the same gritty pull on his model 10. He followed the same steps you did, and what @william_garcia said about ceramic stones made him grab one for the sear. That little bit of extra control really let him polish the surface just right, and now the action is silky smooth.
