The $3 tension rod hack for my junk drawer, wish I knew this sooner
I kept cramming a ton of random stuff into my kitchen junk drawer in Tacoma and it was a disaster zone every time I opened it. Saw a video where someone put a small tension rod across the drawer to hold spray bottles and taller items upright, so I grabbed one from the dollar store for $3. Now my tape, scissors, and cleaning sprays all stay in their own spots and it takes me 5 seconds to find anything. Has anyone else used tension rods for something besides curtains, I need more ideas for my bathroom cabinet.
Whoa, that is such a good idea and I'm kind of mad I never thought of it myself. I did something like this in my bathroom cabinet last year with a couple of those cheap spring rods, one up high for the tall stuff like hairspray and one lower to keep my cleaning bottles from tipping over, and it honestly changed my life a little. The best part is you can just twist them to fit and move them around whenever you want, no tools or holes in anything. I also put one in my pantry to keep cutting boards standing up, works great there too. For your bathroom, try one across the back to hold extra toilet paper rolls so they stop rolling all over the place.
