TIL my living room rug makes burpees dangerous
I was doing a high intensity workout video today. Halfway through the burpees, my rug slid out from under me. I fell on my butt and scared the dog. Now I need a non slip mat before I try again.

Oh man, my rug did the exact same thing last year. It bunched up under my feet during jumping jacks and I totally pitched forward into my coffee table. My cat looked at me like I was insane. I had to weigh the corners down with books until my proper mat arrived.

The part about scaring the dog is too real. I've had that happen with a sliding yoga mat. That sudden crash really freaks them out. A good rubber mat made all the difference for my floors.

Exactly, @the_brian! Some pet owners don't think about it until their dog has already bolted from the room.

How hard were you going to make a whole rug slide out? That sounds terrifying, not just for your dog but for your tailbone. I get nervous just doing stretches on my area rug. One wrong move and you could really hurt yourself.
