Showerthought: K-pop comebacks are too frequent and it hurts the music quality

Groups should take more time between releases for better songs.

Sometimes I wonder if I'd notice better quality with less comebacks, but I'm too busy streaming everything on release day. My attention span is basically gone at this point.

Does rushing comebacks mean we get more forgettable songs overall?

Wait, are you saying groups release music too often? That's crazy to me because the fast pace is what makes K-pop exciting. Some of my favorite tracks came out just months apart and they're amazing. Taking more time doesn't always mean better songs, it can just lead to hype dying down. I'd rather have frequent comebacks than wait years for something that might not even be good.

Frequent comebacks can really pressure artists to put out music before it's fully cooked. @jessica130 mentioned how our attention spans are gone, and I get that, but it also means we might not give each song the time it deserves. In my experience, when things are rushed, quality often takes a hit. Taking more time between releases lets ideas develop properly. Groups could benefit from that, even if fans have to wait a bit longer.
