My boss is pushing to reuse old motor housings from decommissioned lines to cut down on waste.

Tbh, I'm wondering if anyone has tips on inspecting them properly to avoid future breakdowns.

We caught hairline cracks in the welds on three housings last year at my old factory. A good magnifying glass and bright light saved us a huge headache later.

Catching cracks in those 3 housings was huge. Solid tip from @flores.patricia for avoiding bigger problems down the line.

Funny how we spot stuff like that, blake_perry5. Bet a ton of places miss it because they're rushing the inspection.

Agree, @drewg62. Magnifier caught a hairline crack for us too.
