My kitchen drawer was overflowing until I tried this

I had a drawer full of kitchen tools I never used, and it was always messy. I decided to take everything out and only put back what I actually need. For example, I kept one good knife instead of three cheap ones. This made my cooking space feel calm and easy to use. How do you handle extra stuff in your home? I want to apply this idea to my closet next.

Honestly, just donate the "someday" stuff, it's only clutter.

Totally get the drawer thing, it's a game changer. What's your actual rule for the closet though, like are you gonna keep stuff that fits right now or things you wore in the last year? I always struggle with clothes I might need "someday.

Wait are we really making rules for closets now lol. It's just clothes, who cares if you keep a few maybe-someday items?

Isn't it crazy how much stuff we keep just in case? This pattern shows up everywhere, not just in drawers or closets. We hold onto things out of fear or habit, filling our spaces with unused items. Clearing out the physical clutter can really help clear your mind too. That calm feeling you got in your kitchen comes from making simple choices. Maybe we should all look at what else we're holding onto that doesn't help us anymore.
