Shoutout to the time I misread the sodium content on canned soup.

Ate two servings and exceeded my daily limit by noon.

Scan for 'per serving' vs 'per can' before you dig in. Rinsing the soup can help too, but yeah, been there.

Some canned soups pack 800mg of sodium per serving, but the can holds two servings. That means you're basically drinking a gallon of salt water without realizing it. @evan_green52 is right about us having to decode labels like it's normal now. Rinsing soup sounds like a sad kitchen trick, but I guess it comes to that. The whole thing feels like a sneaky math test every time I'm hungry.

We've normalized having to decode basic nutrition info from packaging.

Two servings by NOON? That's brutal! I'd be a human salt lick for the rest of the day.
