The $40 plumbing fix vs. the $600 plumber, who's right about this one?
My kitchen sink in Fullerton backed up last month and I was ready to call a plumber. A buddy told me to try a drain snake from the hardware store first, cost me $40 and 20 minutes of cursing under the house. It cleared a gnarly grease clog that my garbage disposal probably created over 3 years. But now I'm second guessing if I should have hired the pro to check the pipes for bigger issues. Anyone else take the DIY path and regret it later, or did the cheap fix actually hold up for you?
That grease clog struggle is so real, I've been there cursing under my own sink too lol. If it drained fine for weeks after, you probably saved yourself $560 for now.
