After a rough week, this podcast on work boundaries saved me.
It's all about setting clear limits with your boss, honestly.

Setting my work phone to silent after 6 pm was a game changer. I stopped answering emails at night, even the "urgent" ones that really weren't. My boss got the message after a week of radio silence past my hours. The sky didn't fall, and I got my evenings back. It feels weird at first, but it makes a huge difference.

So what was in that article that backed up silencing work phones? Like, did it have stats or stories about people actually being more productive? I'm curious because my boss always claims after-hours emails are critical, but they never are. Lee59's point about the sky not falling is spot on, but how do you handle the guilt trips when you ignore those "urgent" messages? Did the article talk about how to deal with pushback from management? It's hard to set those boundaries without feeling like you're slacking off.

Did your boss start acting like the building was on fire every time you didn't reply right away? Lol, mine used to send those "urgent" texts at 9pm for stuff that could wait till morning.
