Just a friendly heads-up: The new dog park near Riverside has turned my peaceful runs into a game of dodge-the-pup.
I nearly had to sprint away from a very enthusiastic golden retriever during my morning jog, talk about an unplanned interval session! If you're not a fan of unexpected furry companions, you might want to avoid that area for a bit.

Honestly, have you considered running earlier in the morning before the park gets busy? Tbh, I used to hit that same path and learned the hard way. Ngl, shifting my run to like 6 AM made a huge difference because most dog owners aren't out that early. Another thing that worked for me was sticking to the perimeter trail instead of cutting through the main grassy area. It adds a minute to your loop but you avoid the off-leash zones completely. Finally, carrying a small water spray bottle can deter over-friendly pups without harming them, just a quick spritz in the air usually does the trick.

I used to laugh at early runners, but @spencer_park26's 6 AM tip actually transformed my routine. Never thought I'd say this, but the empty park paths are worth the alarm clock.
