The local bakery's SEO is killing their business

I stopped at 'Sweet Rise Bakery' on Main Street in Portland last Saturday and noticed they had zero online presence. Their croissants are incredible but you can't find them on Google Maps or any search result past page 3. If I ran that place I'd spend $100 on a basic local SEO setup before buying another display case. Has anyone else run into a great local spot that's invisible online?

See it different. Great bakeries survive on word of mouth and foot traffic, not Google clicks.

Oh come on, you really think a bakery can survive in 2024 without anyone being able to Google them?

Nah, word of mouth is great but it's not enough these days. People literally search for "bakery near me" on their phones before walking anywhere. You can have the best sourdough in town but if you're not on Google Maps you're invisible to half your potential customers.
