The wait for freelance payments is driving me up the wall...

Why do some clients think it's okay to hold onto money for weeks? It messes with my cash flow so badly... Last project, I finished everything on time, but the invoice sat unpaid for over a month.

Had a client pay super fast once, then spent two weeks asking for tiny changes to the "final" files.

Sometimes wonder if the slow payers are just barely keeping their own lights on... their cash flow disaster becomes yours.

That month-long wait makes me wonder if late payers are actually in trouble themselves. Do you ever get the sense they're just stalling because their own clients haven't paid?

Over a month without getting paid for finished work is crazy. It completely ruins your planning when you count on that cash being there. If their own clients haven't paid, that's their issue to fix, not yours to fund. You held up your end, so they need to stop stalling and send the money. Letting an invoice sit that long shows zero respect for your time.
