PSA: My town's space debate night got heated over moon bases vs. Mars trips
We used to chat about general exploration, but now it's all about picking one goal. Half the room wants permanent lunar stations as a stepping stone, the other half calls that a distraction from the red planet. Which target makes more sense for the next big push?

Unlike @kimk58's parking lot, we need both moon bases and Mars trips to really explore space.

Artemis mission focuses on the moon's south pole. A base there tests survival tech. Mars trips need that data. No moon practice means Mars failures.
