Had a dream last night where my truck turned into a giant pizza slice

I was driving home from a job site near Springfield last Tuesday and apparently dozed off at a red light, but this happened in my dream. The pizza slice had pepperoni for headlights and it was sliding down the highway at like 80 mph. I woke up sweating and my wife said I was yelling "extra cheese" in my sleep. Has anyone else had food-themed dreams that felt too real? I'm genuinely curious if this is common or if I just ate too late.

Did you wake up craving a slice or just confused why your truck had pepperoni headlights?

Oh man @karen361 you kind of missed the actual psychology behind it. The thing is, pizza trucks don't exist in real life so the dream was more about the feeling of craving than the actual food logic. It wasn't about sleep-driving a slice down the highway, it was my brain trying to process why I woke up with my mouth watering for a pepperoni pizza. Also, eating a whole large before bed doesn't really cause dreams about trucks with headlights made of meat. The pepperoni headlight thing was probably just my brain mixing up the round shape of headlights with the round slices of pepperoni, visual association more than a delivery metaphor. So yeah, the moral is more about how dreams work with random visual puns, not about pre-bed food choices. Just had to clear that up since you made it sound like a weird literal food coma thing.

Slide into the DMs of a pizza truck dream and suddenly you're yelling about cheese at 3 AM, that's a new one even for me. Sounds like your brain was trying to order delivery while you were sleep-driving a slice down the highway. Guess the moral is don't eat a whole large pepperoni right before bed unless you want your truck to turn into dinner.
