Just realized my abandoned screenplay folder had 14 finished scripts
I was cleaning out my old laptop last week and found a folder I forgot about from 2016. Turns out I had written 14 complete screenplays, plus maybe 30 partial drafts. That number floored me because I always thought of myself as someone who talks about writing more than actually doing it. But there they were, all with different genres and loglines, stuff like a noir set in a laundromat and a time loop comedy about a barista. I reread the first one and it's rough, but the ideas are there, you know? Anyone else ever stumble on their own backlog and wonder where that energy went, or am I the only one who forgets their own past projects?
14 scripts is a lot but lets be real, how many of them would you actually shoot? Finding old stuff is fun and all, but rough first drafts from 2016 sitting in a folder isnt the same as finishing something now.
