Serious question, how do you deal with motion sickness in VR worlds?

I really enjoy exploring new places in VR, but I often feel sick after a short time. What works for you to prevent this?

Ginger candies are a lifesaver for me, I keep a bag next to my headset. A small fan blowing on your face really helps trick your brain too. Always use the comfort settings like snap turning or teleport movement, never smooth glide. It takes time to build up your tolerance, so start with short sessions.

Hold up, you keep an OPEN bag of ginger candies RIGHT next to your headset? That is a brave choice. I tried that once and got little sugar crumbs all in the foam padding, it was a sticky mess. One time a candy even melted a little from the heat and got on my controller. The risk is too high for me, I keep mine in a sealed container on the desk.

Yeah ginger candies are clutch, I do the same thing lol. That fan trick is genius too, it really does help your brain feel grounded. What made a huge difference for me was always keeping my eyes locked on something stationary in the game, like a dashboard or a fixed menu screen, when moving. Started with stuff like Beat Saber and worked my way up to smoother movement games over months.
