Bought bulk fabric softener at Costco last spring and it took me 9 months to realize it was coating my towels in wax

Standing in my bathroom after a shower last week, dripping wet, I finally put it together that the waxy feel on my towels was the softener residue and now I'm wondering how many microplastics I was rubbing onto my skin every single day has anyone else had this wake up call about household chemicals?

Oh man, that waxy towel thing is the worst. I switched to vinegar instead and never looked back.

Honestly, three cups of vinegar? That sounds wild, I use way less than that.
