I used to think buying a new electric car was the only green choice, but after my old Civic hit 250k miles, I'm not so sure.

But you have to look at the total picture. That old car is still pumping out tailpipe pollution every single day.

Used to have the exact same view, always figured new electric was the only real answer. Seeing that Civic hit a quarter million miles really makes you question the whole idea of throwing away a perfectly good machine. The carbon cost of building a brand new car is huge, even an electric one. Keeping your old ride going might be the greener move after all.
