My electric bill hit $42 last month and I feel like I failed
I live in a one bedroom apartment in Austin, and I've been trying to cut my power use for a year. I unplug things, use a fan instead of the AC, the whole deal. My bill has been around $55. Last month, with a heat wave, it dropped to $42. I should be happy, but all I can think is that my tiny effort is a joke compared to the big picture. It just made me feel more helpless. Has anyone else had a 'win' that just made the scale of the problem feel worse?

Yeah it's wild. Like when you finally put that one dish in the dishwasher. Or just send that quick text you've been putting off. Feels silly but the relief is real.
