Shoutout to the $400 'smart' compost bin that just rots food and sends guilt emails

I bought it to feel better about food waste, but the app just shames you for not turning the pile enough. Has anyone found a simpler system that doesn't feel like a tech guilt trip?

I just use a plain plastic bin from the hardware store, cost maybe 20 bucks. Toss in some leaves or shredded paper with the food scraps, give it a stir when I remember. It works fine without the nagging.
