Shoutout to the new data center sucking our aquifer dry. Neighbors wells are going dusty and nobody seems to care.

Built their own tomb, basically.

Wasn't there a story last year about a town out west where the aquifer just collapsed? They pumped so much the ground actually sank. That's the scary end game. @milesk27 is right, dusty wells mean it's already starting. Once that water is gone, it's gone for good, and no amount of money can fix a dry hole. Their backup plan won't exist because they used it all up first.

Consider how the data center's own cooling systems will fail once the water table drops too low. Their short term fix creates a long term disaster for everyone, themselves included lol.

Dusty wells sounds like a really bad problem already.
