After 4 tries I finally got my crawlspace insulation right and saw my heating bill drop $45
Took me three weekends of messing up before I figured out the trick. Everyone keeps taping the vapor barrier to the rim joist with regular duct tape. That stuff falls off after a month in the humidity. You gotta use the actual seam tape or mastic. I learned that the hard way after my first two attempts peeled right off. Now my basement floor is warm for the first time in December. Has anyone else dealt with this or am I the only one who wasted money on the wrong tape first?

Wait, regular duct tape? Who told people that works? That stuff can't even hold a box shut for more than a week.

Oh man, I learned this one the hard way. Tried duct tape to patch up a hose in my yard and it fell off before I even got the water turned back on. Good for temporary stuff maybe, but that's about it.
