At a rest stop near Cheyenne I figured out how to stop wasting money on truck stop coffee
I used to buy coffee at every Pilot or Love's I'd stop at, spending like $4.50 a pop on a large. Then I got stuck for hours at a weigh station near Cheyenne with no truck stop in sight and had to dig out my old thermos from behind the seat. That cold gas station brew from 6 AM actually woke me up the same as the fresh stuff. Anyone else have a moment where a breakdown or wait forced you to try something that ended up working better?

Ngl I had a friend who used to buy gas at the cheapest place she could find. She was so proud of saving like $2 a fill-up. Then her car started sputtering real bad, took it in and the mechanic said the fuel was basically sludge. Cost her $600 to clean the whole system out and replace the fuel filter. She never cheaped out on gas again after that.

Oh man, this is too real. I had the exact same thing happen with my old Honda. I was all about that discount gas station because I thought I was being smart with my money. Then my car started shaking every time I hit the highway, and the check engine light came on. The mechanic basically said my fuel injectors were clogged with all sorts of junk from the cheap gas. That $600 repair bill was a hard lesson, but now I just go to the same brand name station every time and never look back.
