Blew $60 on a so-called 'premium' office chair that collapsed on day 3 in my home office

I was sitting in my apartment in Nashville last Tuesday, leaning back to stretch, and the ENTIRE gas cylinder just gave out. Slammed my tailbone on the floor, laptop went flying. The listing said it supported up to 300 pounds. Im 185. The company ghosted me when I sent photos. I ended up grabbing a used Steelcase from a liquidation warehouse for $150 that had actual metal parts. Has anyone else run into fake weight ratings on cheap chairs?

Man, my buddy in Chattanooga bought a cheap chair and it buckled on him first week too.

Ha! Probably skipped the gas cylinder test. That's the real weak spot.
