Dropped $180 on a cheap pressure washer and it saved my whole summer, AMA
So I bought this little electric pressure washer for $180 at a hardware store in Boise about 4 months ago. My plan was just to clean my driveway and maybe the fence, nothing crazy. But then my sister asked me to help her get her place ready to sell, and that thing ended up doing way more than I ever expected. It stripped years of grime off her siding, cleaned her back patio, and even got the moss off her walkway in like an afternoon. The part that really got me was it also saved me from paying a guy $400 to do the same work, which I almost did before I bought it. Now I'm wondering if I just got lucky with this cheap one or if everyone's little electric unit holds up this well. Anyone had one of these die on them after a season or two?
My brother had the same thing happen but with a $60 used one from a garage sale. He cleaned his deck, his truck, even his gutters with some weird attachment. Then one day it just started leaking from the handle and that was that, maybe a year and a half total. For the price though he figured he got his money's worth. I keep telling him to just buy a new one but he's stubborn and now he's out there with a bucket and a brush like it's 1950.
