Hit 1,000 books on my reading log last week and it caught me off guard
I started keeping a reading journal back in 2017, just jotting down titles and dates. Last week I added a short story collection and noticed the number hit exactly 1,000. That felt huge because I always thought I was a slow reader, like maybe 20 books a year tops. But seeing the count made me realize how much I actually read during commutes and lunch breaks over 7 years. What got me curious is how other people track their reading, do you use an app or just wing it like I did for years?

Wait have you always done the journal or did you start later? I'm jealous honestly, I've tried tracking my reading a few times and always drop it after a couple months. But seeing that number 1,000 must feel insane, like proof that all those little 15 minute chunks actually add up. I'm the same way with thinking I'm a slow reader, then I look at my Goodreads history from the last few years and realize I'm doing way more than I give myself credit for. Congrats on sticking with it that long man, that's real dedication.

Why do you think hitting 1,000 felt so HUGE for you? I've got a similar story actually. Started a Notes app list in 2019 just for fun and now I'm at 847. It's the commute reads that REALLY add up.
