Hit 10,000 questions answered on a Q&A site last night

I've been answering questions on this one forum for about 4 years now. Nothing serious, just stuff I know about like fixing old motorcycles and basic home plumbing. Last night I noticed my counter hit exactly 10,000 answers. That number surprised me because it's a lot of random typing. I never thought I'd have that much to say about drain snakes and carburetors. The weird part is I've gotten maybe 30 thank you messages total in all that time. But a few people told me I saved them a service call bill. That makes the whole thing feel worth it. Has anyone else hit a big milestone like that on a forum and felt kinda weird about it?

Those 30 thank you messages actually sound pretty good for 10k answers. I've been on a DIY plumbing forum for about 5 years and got maybe 12 thanks across 3,000 posts. Most people just read and move on. Idk, maybe it's just me but those little thank yous land harder when you're fixing someone's busted water heater at 11pm and they actually take the time to say something. It's not like we're doing it for the gratitude anyway, but it does feel good when it comes.

Holding the door or picking up something someone dropped deserves a solid thank you.
