I tried answering every question here for 30 days and got one DM that made it worth it
A few weeks back I decided to just start answering stuff in this community instead of lurking, and I set a dumb rule for myself: one reply a day for a month, no matter how small the question. Most days it was easy stuff, like what to do when a landlord drags his feet on a deposit, or how long to wait before following up on a job app. Around day 19 a guy posted asking how to tell his roommate he was moving out without a big blowup. I wrote him a short script, just three lines he could say at the kitchen table, nothing clever. Two weeks later he messaged me saying it went fine and the roommate even helped him load the truck. That one DM did more for me than the 29 other replies combined. I think what I learned is that the questions that seem too small to bother with are usually the ones where people actually need a nudge. Now I'm curious what question on here did you almost skip, and what happened when you answered it anyway?
