I wasted $300 on a meal prep service that was just frozen food in fancy bags

I signed up for this trendy meal prep service back in February because the ads made it look like fresh, healthy meals delivered to my door. The first box came and I opened it up to find everything was frozen solid, not fresh at all. It was just fancy packaging over stuff I could buy at any grocery store for half the price. After three weeks and $300 down the drain, I realized I was paying for convenience but getting zero value. The portions were tiny too, I was still hungry after each meal. Has anyone else fallen for one of these subscription services that just repackage cheap stuff?

@michael669 nailed it and I learned this lesson too with some dumb snack box that was just overpriced chips.

That's just a frozen dinner with a marketing budget.

Bought one of those fancy meal kit boxes once. Box was huge. Ice packs everywhere. Opened everything up and it was basically chicken nuggets with a side of potato wedges. Paid like forty bucks for something I could have made in ten minutes. Marketing really got me good on that one.
