Lost $150 on that custom meal plan service and it was a total scam
I signed up for a personalized meal plan that promised to tailor everything to my dietary needs and spent $150 upfront. After a week, all the recipes were just generic stuff I could find for free online, and they ignored my food allergies completely. Has anyone else fallen for one of these subscription services that sounded too good to be true?

$150 is not exactly pocket change, but honestly, I think people get way too worked up over stuff like this. You paid for a meal plan, you got a meal plan, just not the perfect one you imagined. I've seen contractors try to squeeze me for double that on a paint job that was supposed to take two days and took five, and I didn't go crying on the internet about it. You live and you learn, right? Next time, just Google "free gluten free recipes" and save yourself the hassle. It's not like they stole your identity or crashed your car, it's just a bad buy. Move on.

Wait, did you actually get a full week before they ghosted you? I signed up for a similar thing that promised gluten free and dairy free options. Third day in, they sent me a recipe that literally said "substitute regular milk if you don't have almond milk." Like, what was the point of paying $150 for that? I emailed them three times and got nothing but automated responses saying "we'll look into it." By the time I tried to cancel, they pointed to some fine print about no refunds after the first two days. Felt like such a sucker.
