My washing machine flooded the kitchen 10 minutes before company showed up
The drain hose popped off the back of my Kenmore last Saturday around 5:50pm, right when my in-laws were pulling into the driveway. Water went everywhere, probably 15 gallons across the tile and halfway into the hallway carpet. I killed the breaker, soaked up what I could with every towel in the house, and we ended up eating pizza on the porch instead of the dinner I'd been cooking for 3 hours. Has anyone dealt with a hose popping off mid cycle, and is there a better way to clamp it so this doesn't happen again?
Man that brings back bad memories, my old Whirlpool did the same thing during a rinse cycle and I came home to a mini swimming pool in the laundry room lol. I ended up swapping the spring clamp for a screw type hose clamp from the hardware store and it hasn't budged since. Cost me like two bucks and saved my floors, you should try it.
