PSA: I timed my 20 minute walks at 7am vs 8pm for 3 weeks and the morning ones won big
I walk the same 1.2 mile loop around my neighborhood in Austin and started timing both slots to see which one I'd stick with. The 7am walks took 4 minutes less on average because I wasn't stopping for dogs and neighbors, and I actually finished all 21 of them vs 12 at night. Does anyone else track when they move instead of just how far, or am I the only weirdo with a spreadsheet?
Ha, you're not the only weirdo with a spreadsheet. I have a note on my phone logging my lunch walks and I color code them, which is somehow both useful and deeply embarrassing. My 12pm walks beat my 6pm ones by a solid 3 minutes too, mostly because the evening crowd at the park makes it a slow obstacle course. Never thought about it being dogs and neighbors slowing me down, but that tracks.
