PSA: That 'free' business coaching group I joined turned out to be worth it

I signed up for a free 8-week coaching group through my local chamber of commerce in March because I thought it would be a waste of time. By week 5 I had fixed my pricing structure and landed a $600 contract I would have walked away from before. Has anyone else found something from a free resource that actually delivered?

Free stuff usually has a catch, so I get why you'd be skeptical. But a local chamber of commerce group is a bit different from some random online guru promising you the moon. Was it just the group sessions that helped, or did you get one-on-one time too? I've seen too many people get scammed by "free" coaching that turns into a $2,000 upsell pitch. Sounds like you lucked out with the right kind of resource that actually had substance.

The same pattern happens with those "free" grocery store samples that lead to expensive subscriptions.
