Realized I was shredding cheese wrong for 30 years

I was making tacos last Tuesday and got annoyed at how my cheese was clumping together in the bag. My roommate walked in and asked why I wasn't using the coarse side of the grater. I honestly didn't know there were different sides for different things. Now my cheese actually falls apart like it's supposed to. Has anyone else had a basic kitchen tool moment like that?

Wait hold on I gotta disagree with the clumping thing. The fine side actually helps the cheese melt way better for tacos cause it gets all gooey and stretchy. Coarse shreds just sit on top and barely melt half the time. I learned this the hard way after years of sad nachos that looked good but had unmelted cheese chunks everywhere.

Dude I still buy pre-shredded bags cause I'm lazy and it's fine.
