Talked with a retired librarian about why I hate e-readers and she made a good point

She said digital books don't leave room for your own imagination to fill in the gaps, and honestly that hit different because I've been flying through Kindles without really picturing anything. Has anyone else noticed their brain feels lazier with screens vs paper?

That's an interesting point from the librarian, though I wonder if it's more about how we read than the format itself. I've seen plenty of people daydream while reading paper books and others stay fully engaged on a Kindle.

Yeah, that's a good point actually. I mean, I've totally zoned out with a paperback in my hands just as easily as scrolling past stuff on a screen, so it's probably more about the person than the paper or pixels. It's like, you can be distracted no matter what you're holding if your brain just isn't in the mood to focus.

Totally done the same thing with a paperback, lmao.
