Hit $1M ARR last month and it feels like a weird milestone

I started my Austin consulting firm back in 2020 with just me and a laptop. Last month we crossed $1M in annual recurring revenue from client contracts. I thought I'd feel like a big shot or something, but mostly I just feel tired. The growth snuck up slowly through repeat clients and referrals from people I met at tech meetups here. I had a spreadsheet tracking everything and it just kept going up a little each quarter. I didn't even notice the milestone until my accountant pointed it out during tax prep. Has anyone else hit a number like this and found it felt more ordinary than they expected? I'm curious if the feeling changes when you hit bigger numbers.

I just feel tired" - yeah, because you spent FOUR YEARS grinding and your accountant had to tell you you made it. That's the most Austin consulting firm thing I've ever heard. Now go buy yourself a nice dinner or at least a new spreadsheet theme.

Double down on that spreadsheet theme upgrade and let @lewis.terry know when you find a good one.

@lewis.terry that "spreadsheet theme upgrade" line cracked me up. Honestly I'd just grab a dark mode add-on and call it a win. The whole point is to make the numbers look less miserable after four years of grind.
