Hit 50 cold emails in one day last week and it reminded me how much Austin's scene has changed

I remember back in 2018 when I could send out maybe 10 emails and get 4 replies from local founders. Last week I blasted through 50 for my SaaS startup and got maybe 3 responses total, all from the same co-working space on East 6th. It feels like the market here got way more crowded or people just stopped opening emails from strangers. Has anyone else noticed the reply rate dropping over the last few years?

Man, that's rough. Three replies out of fifty is brutal, I've been there and it just drains all your energy for the day. It's definitely gotten way quieter out there, you're not alone in noticing that.

Haha yeah that ratio is rough. Three out of fifty feels like you're shouting into the void lol. Makes you wonder if anyone even reads half the stuff you post. It's like all that effort for almost zero payoff. Definitely gotta pick and choose where you put your energy these days.
