Hit 500 paying users by accident last month

I launched a simple SaaS tool for local coffee shops here in Austin back in June. My goal was maybe 100 users by December, but a random Reddit post blew up and I hit 500 last month. The crazy part is I didn't even notice until Stripe gave me a notification about my billing tier. Has anyone else had a milestone sneak up on them like that?

Buddy of mine launched a plugin and found out he hit 1000 users from his mom calling to congratulate him.

Happened to a buddy of mine too actually. He launched a little productivity tool, got like 50 signups day one and was so pumped. Then his mom texts him "saw your thing on Product Hunt, your aunt shared it with her book club." He was like... wait, what? Turns out the aunt's book club was full of these older ladies who actually used it for their meeting notes and spread it everywhere. Never underestimate the mom network man.
