Just realized coworking memberships aren't worth it for me anymore

I was paying $350 a month at a coworking spot downtown for about 6 months, mainly because I thought I needed the networking. But I noticed I was only actually talking to people maybe twice a week, and most of the folks there were in totally different industries. Pretty sure I could save $200 by just grabbing coffee at a shop and working from home the rest of the time. Has anyone else found a better alternative for getting face time with other tech folks in Austin?

Totally disagree here. That $350 was buying you the habit of getting out of the house and being around other working people. Coffee shops are loud and you can't camp there for 8 hours without buying stuff every 30 minutes. Working from home all the time kills your focus after a while, trust me. The random chats with people in different industries still give you new ways of thinking about problems. Plus you lose that professional environment where you actually get stuff done instead of scrolling at your kitchen table.

Tbh @janah83, the silence at home works way better for my focus than coffee shop chaos ever did.
