Our demo crashed 4 mins into the pitch at Capital Factory and we still landed the meeting

Last Thursday we were pitching at Capital Factory on East 6th and our live demo froze right as the investor asked about our API latency. I just closed the laptop and walked them through the architecture on a whiteboard instead, and they booked a follow up for next week. Has anyone else had a demo die mid pitch, and did you lean into it or try to restart?
