I was firm about only hiring local devs for our small SaaS team, mostly because I wanted people in the office on Tuesdays. Then a recruiter told me the same senior role that quoted $165k here was pulling $40k less for remote folks in El Paso, and we filled the spot in 3 weeks instead of 5 months. Curious if other small teams here have done the split too, or if you all think the in-person thing is worth that much extra.
